While Season 1 focused on the immediate aftermath of the prison break and the introduction of Bex Locke to the team, Season 2 – consisting of 13 episodes – dives deeper into the “Black Site” plot. New episodes began airing on NBC on January 8 and will continue through at least April or May.
Without giving away too many spoilers for those starting Season 1 on Netflix, Season 2 raises the stakes by revealing that the escapees were not just random criminals, but pieces of a much larger political puzzle. We also see the development of Bex’s mysterious past and her relationship with the mysterious architects of the prison. Reviews of the second season noted an increased pace and faster pace of action compared to the first season.
