“We’ve done Yosemite. What’s the next park that might feel different from that? Every national park has a different cultural identity, geographic identity. It’s so fascinating to be able to explore those places through the case and through Turner’s journey.

Our theme has been that this park is our main character, this park is kind of alive. We want to maintain that thread. Whichever park we choose will be a character, and it will play a role in Turner’s emotional mindset.

This next season will take Kyle Turner to an unfamiliar environment, where he will be visiting, in many cases, other national parks before landing in Hawaii.

“This won’t be the first park he’s been to since Yosemite. He’s been to a lot of parks. He’s been busy with a lot of things. This will be the latest and it will be more impressive for him.

Turner was very comfortable in Yosemite. He was the one leading the charge and the people followed him. And now, [we’re] Put Kyle on his back foot, which made him very uncomfortable… This time we have to follow Turner around the park and let him lead us, and we stumble along with him as he finds his way.

We’re going to make sure we fill it with characters that are interesting and help him in both good and bad ways.
