Netflix is in the top 10 and it’s a worrying start for Peter’s return Sutherland in the opening four days of Season 3. While the big-budget show was once a powerhouse IP, the data suggests a franchise that is losing viewers season after season at an alarming rate. Season 4 still hasn’t officially started, but could these figures suggest we might be near the end? Hopefully not.

In percentage terms, between Season 1 and Season 2, we saw a drop of about 32%. Season 3 has seen an even sharper decline, down nearly 40% from Season 2 and a whopping 59% from the series premiere.
Declining viewership over previous seasons is nothing new or particularly unusual. In fact, the last time we saw that, only one show increased its viewership season over season, and that was stranger things (Although it has since backfired). lincoln lawyer This is another rare exception that has gained ground every season, with its most recent season still reaching good numbers in the top 10.

What does this mean for The Night Agent Season 4?
As we have discussed elsewhere, the future of night agent Looked quite strong. We learned in late 2025 that a writer’s room was already underway, and soon after, we got news that the series was given a provisional tax credit to move filming to Los Angeles, provided that filming began this year. Last we heard the series was aiming to begin production in the second quarter of 2026 if it gets a speedy upgrade. The showrunner confirmed during the marketing run-up to Season 3 that they were waiting for an official greenlight.
One of the most important metrics will be the completion rate of the series, which we don’t get to see. If that remains high, we suspect Season 4 is still looking likely, though with the caveat that we may be getting closer to the end, or we may see other cost-cutting measures, such as reducing the number of episodes.
