Hello and welcome to our weekly preview of what’s coming to Netflix over the next seven days, coming to you the day after the Oscars. It’s a huge week for fans of brummy gangsters, mind-bending anime and iconic horror, with a number of major franchises leaving their mark. Our top picks for the week are the most anticipated peaky blinders movie, the arrival of a beloved anime series, and a massive drop of horror movies perfect for a movie marathon.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2026) Netflix Original

By order of the Peaky Blinders, Shelby is back. Academy Award winner Cillian Murphy reprises his iconic role as Tommy Shelby in this feature-length film continuation of the beloved British series, the first expansion beyond the main series, which will soon be joined by a sequel series now in production. It has its Netflix premiere a few weeks later when the film is now in theaters and reportedly, it has done quite well there.
Set in the 1940s during World War II, the film features Tommy returning from self-imposed exile to face his toughest challenge yet. The explosive new chapter, written by series creator Steven Knight, features newcomers Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth and Barry Keoghan, as well as cast favourites.

Fresh from joining our list of the best new movies on Netflix for this month, The Creator, is a surprising and thought-provoking sci-fi action film. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla), the film is set in a future where war is waged between mankind and the forces of artificial intelligence.
John David Washington plays Joshua, a hardened ex-Special Forces agent who is recruited to find and kill the mysterious architect of an advanced AI who has developed a weapon powerful enough to end war and the human race itself. When Joshua learns as a young child that the world-ending weapon is an AI, he faces a moral dilemma. The film, which also stars Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe and Allison Janney, was praised for its ambitious original story, breathtaking visuals, and emotional depth, earning two Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound.

If you’re a horror fan, get ready for a massive movie marathon. Netflix is ​​adding a massive collection of Saw movies, one of the most iconic horror franchises of the 21st century. Known for its intricate webs and shocking plot, the series follows the infamous Jigsaw Killer. The movies coming this week are: Saw (2004), Saw II (2005), Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007), Saw V (2008), Saw VI (2009), Saw 3D: The Final Chapter (2010), Jigsaw (2017), and the most recent installment, Saw X (2023).
