We’ve got exciting casting news for the upcoming 1950s sequel series: BAFTA-winning actress Lashana Lynch is officially heading to Birmingham, as the actress has been shown filming scenes for the new continuation currently in production in the United Kingdom.

As previously reported in early March, cameras have already started rolling! Production officially began in Stoke-on-Trent, with local casting listings running under the working title peaky 1954. Kudos production team – the same team behind this town And sas rogue hero-The historic Grade II-listed Queens Theater in Burslem is being used for indoor scenes to capture the ideal mid-century aesthetic. While Stoke-on-Trent (a favorite haunt for Steven Knight) is hosting some early shooting, the majority of filming is expected to take place in the Digbeth locale. Studios in Birmingham, or in the case of these latest scenes, on the streets of Birmingham.

Aside from the initial announcement and some very subtle teasing by the film’s cast and crew during the entire press junket run (most people wouldn’t confirm or say anything at all!), things have been quiet, so we’ll expect a big reveal in the coming weeks and months.
