Little House on the Prairie follows the Ingalls family’s move from their Wisconsin farm to a log house in Montgomery County, Kansas in 1869. Their new home was built in Native American territory, but Laura’s father had heard that the government planned to open the area to white settlers and thus he took the risk of settling his family. The family faced risks and dangers during their two-year stay in Kansas, including falling ill, starting a new farm, and land disputes with Native Americans and the U.S. government.

It will follow the same production schedule as the first season, which began on June 10, 2025, and ended in October 2025.
