In December 2025, Netflix won a bidding war against seven other companies for Halil Ozsan’s horror feature, Alpha. already described by many people “As an American Werewolf in London meeting of American Psycho,“ The film promises a lot based on its premise, and is rumored to star Taron Egerton. Here’s everything we know so far Alpha On Netflix.
Alpha is an upcoming Netflix Original horror film written by Halil Ozsan and produced by Tory Tunnell, Joby Herold, and Adam Goldworm. Safehouse Pictures is the studio behind the film.
what is the plot of Alpha?
The alpha’s summary is from Production Weekly:
“In modern London, mild-mannered American expatriate Patty has it all: a devoted English wife, Charlie, and a prestigious job at the Sterlingwolfe Investment Bank. Yet beneath the surface, Patty feels vulnerable and invisible – harassed at work, paralyzed in moments of danger, and unable to start a family. His arrogant boss, Jackson, represents everything Patty believes he is not. After a humiliating period of failures, Petey bolts from his home in a fit of despair one night, collapsing into a remote park. When he awakens, something fundamental has changed within him. Outside of Netflix, Egerton is best known for his roles as “Eggsy” Kingsman: The Secret Service And as Elton John in the biopic rocket Man.

Filming recently wrapped on Taron Egerton’s latest project, meaning he’s now free to start filming on projects Alpha. this is what we expect Alpha Filming will begin sometime in 2026.
When can we expect to see Alpha On Netflix?
Without a filming schedule, it’s a tough task to predict when the movie will be released on Netflix. If filming begins in 2026, the actual release date will be late 2027 or early 2028.
If filming continues until 2027, we’ll be pretty sure Alpha Will not be released on Netflix until 2028.
