Netflix is getting a double whammy in the last week of the year, as 2025 ends while 2026 begins with new arrivals. from the long awaited completion of stranger things From a fresh Harlan Coben mystery and a big New Year’s Day movie dump, there’s no shortage of reasons to keep the remote close while flipping the calendar. Everything coming to Netflix this week, plus our top picks you won’t want to miss.

What to watch on Netflix this week

For the third year in a row, Netflix is kicking off the year with the United Kingdom’s Harlan Coben mystery series. Unlike previous British iterations, Richard Armitage won’t be leading the cast, but the good news is there are plenty of other heavy-hitters to make up for that loss. “How far will you go in a tangled web of dark secrets to find your missing daughter?” The official synopsis reads, adding, “A desperate father searching for his runaway daughter gets entangled in a murder case – and stumbles upon secrets that could destroy his family forever.”

Another broadcast disaster is the NBC procedural in hopes of a second life for the “Suits Effect” foundWhich is making its streaming debut on Netflix this January. Following its cancellation after two seasons, the series starred Shanola Hampton (shameless) as Gabby Moseley, a crisis management specialist dedicated to finding missing people who have been ignored by the system – often people of color or from marginalized communities. However, the show’s mystery lies in Gabi’s deepest secret: she has tracked down the man who kidnapped her as a child (played by a cool Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and has held him captive in her basement in order to use his twisted mind to solve cases. Starring Kelly Williams and Brett Dalton, this psychological thriller is expected to see a big jump in viewership and hopefully a season 3 as well.

3,456 days after the first season aired on Netflix, stranger thingsAt least in terms of the mothership show, it will end with one last episode on New Year’s Eve (or that day if you’re in Europe or further east).
