bytete is an upcoming Swedish thriller series directed by Kasper Barfoed and based on the novel of the same name by best-selling crime author Stefan Enheim. Amanda Högberg and Axel Stjern are the two writers of the series. Esp Varhos is the production studio behind the series, with Frida Esp and Fatima Varhos as producers.

“In an effort to save their marriages, Stockholm-based Carl (Fyres Fayers) and Helen (Frida Gustavsson) arrange a vacation-home swap with Sicily-based Adam (Jacob Oftebro) and Scarlett (Emma Appleton). But upon arriving at their new exclusive home, Carl and Helen begin to realize that something is wrong. The house doesn’t exactly match the romantic villa photos, and are upset. Questions arise. Who are the people they have traded houses with? Dark secrets begin to surface as the two move into Carl and Helen’s dreamy home, despite its beauty.
