If the latest announcements are anything to go by, 2026 is shaping up to be another banner year. We have information on at least nine new titles coming in the next 12 months, including heavy hitters like fare fare, Josephine BornbuschAnd Jacob Oftebro.

The Swedish Connection (Den Svenska Lanken)

Kicking things off at the beginning of the year is a historical drama based on true events. While we are used to seeing Henrik Dorsin and Johan Glans in comedic roles, they are taking a serious turn here.
The story follows a small group of Swedish bureaucrats during World War II who risk everything to hide Jews from the Nazis. The cast includes Sisela Benn, Marianne Mork, and Jonas Carlson, a frequent star in Netflix titles from the region.
J M’Appelle Agneta

Based on the popular novel, this feel-good drama stars a stellar cast eva melander (Limit) as Agneta.
At the age of 49, Agneta is tired of her mundane life and decides to leave the safety of Sweden for a grand adventure. She accepts a job as an au pair for a “Swedish boy” in France. However, upon arrival, the “boy” turns out to be an eccentric elderly gentleman named Einar, played by Claes Monson. An unexpected friendship arises. The cast also includes Björn Kjellman, Richard Forsgren, Anne-Marie Ponsot and Jérémie Covilault.
The Ore Murders (Eremorden) – Season 2

Pack your skis and gear elsewhere. Based on the hugely popular book series by Viveka Stein, ore murder Returns for a second season. This complex combines two things Swedes love most: ski holidays and murder mysteries. In Season 2, we return to the snowy peaks of Ouray where more bodies are piling up. Carla Sehn and Cardo Razzazi are back on the case, with production set to begin at the top of the year, suggesting a return in late 2026.

If Holiday It was a psychological thriller, it might look something like this bytete.
Based on the novel by Stefan Enheim, the story follows two married couples – one in Stockholm, one in Sicily – who are bored with their lives and decide to move houses for the summer. Stockholm residents Carl and Helen head to Italy, while Adam and Scarlett head to the Stockholm Archipelago.
Neither couple finds peace in their new surroundings as deep secrets begin to emerge from both sides. The series features a stellar international cast fare fare (Chernobyl, done by), emma appleton (Magician), Frieda Gustavsson (Vikings: Valhalla), And Jacob Oftebro.

It comes with a serious pedigree. Case Created by George’sThe mastermind behind global hits hip And Break in.
The series follows decorated investigator Thomas Berg as he hunts down “one of the worst serial killers Sweden has ever tracked”. The stakes are personal, as the killer specifically targets Thomas’s police colleagues. Desperate, Thomas turns to his estranged father, a former top cop, for help.
Jacob Oftebro starring alongside Peter Anderson, Electra Hollman and Alexander Abdullah (making it a busy year for him) leading here (Snabba Cash).

It looks like the theme of Netflix Sweden this year is “swapping lives.” This romantic comedy stars real-life sisters Happy Jankel And Felice Jankel Take on the role of on-screen sisters who trade their very different lives just before Christmas.
based on audiobook Sankt Anna in July by Eleanor Sager, the film is directed by Adam Paulson (young wallander). While Netflix has only confirmed a “2026” window, we’re going to go out on a limb and predict a December release for it.

Josephine Bornbusch (baby reindeer, love and chaos) writes, directs, and stars in this tense chamber drama.
The plot focuses on Filip, who invites his close friends to his new manor house in northern Sweden to celebrate his 45th birthday. When a terrible storm hits, the guests are trapped inside, and buried secrets begin to surface.
The cast is standing: gustaf skarsgård (vikings, oppenheimer), Eliet Ophim, Philipp Berg, Johan Reborg, Henrik Dorsin, Gizem Erdogan, and yes-jonas carlson Is back.
