Netflix doesn’t have a huge number of new documentaries coming in February 2026, but the streamer offers a range of topics from true crime to sports to the new Gordon Ramsay series. Check out everything happening in the US in February with our comprehensive guide.

Coming to Netflix: 1 February
Netflix Just Commissioned a New Ice Skating Drama find its edgeWhich (despite being pure fiction) provided an insight into the hard work and determination it takes to make it big in sports.
That brings us to Glitter & Gold, a new documentary that explores the real-life blood, sweat, and tears of As the sport’s top pairs skate for gold and glory. It also comes at a good time, with the 2026 Winter Olympic Games taking place in February 2026.
Lucy Letby’s investigation
Coming to Netflix: 4 February
The story of Lucy Letby is one of the most horrifying and disturbing in serial killer history. Letby was a neonatal nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Between 2015 and 2016, he murdered seven infants – for which he was convicted. He was also convicted of attempting to murder several other children. His crimes were unimaginable, and there appears to have been no real motive behind them. Letby is Britain’s biggest child killer.
This story has been documented many times before, including in a BBC Panorama documentary. Netflix’s feature-length exploration of the case, titled The Investigation of Lucy Letby, features previously unseen police body-cam footage. It also includes police interviews, extensive social media reaction to the case and more. The film is directed by Dominic Sivier (masked scammer).

Coming to Netflix: 6 February
The game of chess already has a rich history on Netflix thanks to the 2020 miniseries queen’s stake. But then again, that was fantasy. The upcoming documentary Queen of Chess chronicles the journey of Judit Polgar, a Hungarian girl and chess prodigy who went head-to-head with some of the most famous chess players of all time. Her legacy in the game is immense, she is considered the greatest female chess player of all time.
Director Rory Kennedy said, “We’re excited to bring Judit’s story to Netflix, where people around the world will be able to see what’s possible when we challenge assumptions about gender, talent, and opportunity.” teases.

Coming to Netflix: 9 February
The lead singer of the legendary rock band Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, is a certified rockstar. His music career is dazzling, but it’s not the only thing he’s passionately pursued: the musician has been helping fund a cure for the genetic skin condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB) since 2010. With his wife Jill, Vedder founded the EB Research Partnership (EBRP) 15 years ago, funding research into a cure for the disease.
Now, Netflix has picked up a documentary, matter of time, Spreading awareness on this topic. The documentary features Vedder completely selling out two solo shows at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall in 2023, with all proceeds going towards EBRP.
“The film reflects all angles of the EB community’s experience,” Vedder said in a statement. “Everyone from families and researchers to volunteers and donors are coming together for an event that includes a big dose of music for good measure. Please join in and meet these incredible people. Their stories will stay with you.”
Matter of Time premiered at various film festivals, including the San Diego International Film Festival in 2025, where it won Best Film.

Coming to Netflix: 18 February
Gordon Ramsay is arguably the most famous celebrity chef in the world. Both a chef and media personality, he is best known for the TV reality show kitchen nightmares And hell’s Kitchen. This documentary explores Ramsay’s leadership of one of his largest enterprises to date: inauguration of five Culinary experience in one of London’s tallest buildings, 22 Bishopsgate. He’s always happy to criticize restaurants – but now he’s opening a restaurant full of promise. Can he deliver?
The official synopsis reads: “This is Gordon as we’ve never seen him before, as he opens the doors to his home and businesses. Over a 6-month window, the expansion of his restaurant empire begins to take shape and, with the official launch fast approaching, we watch as Gordon balances the challenges that come with his life as a husband to Tana and father to their six children.”

The new Formula 1 campaign isn’t far away, and in February, Netflix brings back Drive to Survive for Season 8. The long-running series takes fans behind the scenes, showing audiences for the first time how drivers and teams prepare to fight for the 2025 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. Emotional rollercoasters, bitter rivalries, high stakes and pressure – it’s all there. Experience the saga through never-before-seen footage. There are some big storylines this season, not least Lewis Hamilton’s big move to Ferrari and the title battle between the three drivers.
