Best New Releases on Netflix This Week
28 years later: Bone Temple (2025)
coming to netflix: Tuesday
Making its SVOD debut through Netflix’s ongoing Sony output deal is the highly anticipated next chapter in the unprecedented post-apocalyptic franchise. Decades after the initial outbreak of the virus in Britain, the landscape has changed but the threat still remains. The film tells the story of a former doctor who searches for a cure while a teenager fights to escape a violent gang. If you’re looking for a serious, high-stakes thriller, this is your movie of the week. Fingers crossed it did well on Netflix (unlike the box office, where it really struggled) and convinced Sony Pictures to go ahead and complete the trilogy.
XO, Kitty (season 3)
coming to netflix: Thursday
Kitty Song Covey is officially back! The Dear to All the Boys YA spin-off returns to KISS in Seoul for Kitty’s senior year. As Kitty approaches graduation, fans can expect a whole new semester filled with romantic entanglements, school drama, and big life decisions. It’s going to be another season full of surprises, and we’re even getting a major cameo with a familiar face from TATB finally coming back.
we walk happily together (2025)
coming to netflix: Saturday
If you couldn’t score tickets to the Broadway revival, Netflix is bringing the stage to your living room. Filmed live at the Hudson Theatre, the Tony Award-winning Stephen Sondheim musical stars Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez. Directed by Maria Friedman, the spectacular production tells the story of three lifelong friends in reverse chronological order, tracing them from their disillusioned adult lives to their bright-eyed beginnings.
