Netflix will do Adaptation of Liz Moore’s New York Times best-selling novel, Lord of the Junglein brand new television series. Maya Hawke is the first cast member announced for the series, and filming will begin in June 2026. Lord of the Jungle is an upcoming Netflix original drama series based on the 2024 novel of the same name by Liz Moore. She will serve as co-showrunner, co-writer, and executive producer of the series alongside Liz Hannah. Sony Pictures will produce the television series, and Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty will serve as executive producers for the original film.

Moore and Hannah shared a joint statement with Netflix about the adaptation:
