Will Ferrell’s sports comedy series has officially been titled The Hawk and Netflix has confirmed a summer release window. Ferrell will lead the cast, and we have our first look at the characters in action with the first teaser trailer. Here’s everything you need to know.

It was scheduled to consist of 10 episodes and was First announced at the Netflix upfront in 2024.
Ramy Youssef, Josh Rabinowitz and Andy Campagna were originally attached to the project but dropped out in August 2025 due to creative differences.

Will Ferrell Lonnie is a natural in the role of ‘The Hawk’ Hawkins. Looney, once the reigning PGA champion and former world number one, is now struggling to recapture his fading glory.
