As with the previous two seasons, Tomorrow Studios continues to do an excellent job in the creation and adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s Grand Pirate Odyssey. However, there are other changes to the showrunner team. Ian Stokes replaces Matt Owens, who was co-showrunner for seasons 1–2, but departed from the series in March 2025. Joe Tracks returned as co-showrunner for Season 3, taking over the role from Steven Maeda.

Crocodile has secretly planned the ongoing civil war in Alabasta, which is suffering from a severe drought as Royalist and rebel forces fight for control over Alabasta’s future.
It’s up to Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates to help Princess Vivi and save her country from Crocodile and the Baroque Works.

How much of the manga/anime will the third season cover?
At the time of writing, we have no confirmation on where the story will end in Season 3. However, given the scale of what’s to come from the remainder of the Arabasta Saga, it’s not hard to guess that Season 3 will cover most, if not all, of the Arabasta Arc and end just before the Sky Island Saga.

Thanks to the filming schedule, we can say with confidence that a piece Season 3 will not arrive on Netflix until 2026.
Given the timeline of seasons one and two, the release date is at least 12 to 14 months after filming ends. Filming for Season 3 is scheduled to end by June 2026, so we expect it to be available on Netflix no later than June 2027 and no later than August/September 2027.
Each episode is expected to cost between $15 million and $20 million, with initial reports indicating an average of around $18 million.
Is there a fourth season happening?
