Welcome to your weekly new arrivals on Netflix in the United States, and I’m coming to you from Savannah, Georgia for the final leg of my American journey! It’s been an incredibly busy week for new releases, largely due to the rotation of first-of-the-month movies we watch on Netflix. Below, we’ll cover all 47 new movies and 15 new series, give you some recommendations and see what’s trending in the daily US Top 10 charts.
There’s a lot more to be excited about in the remaining days of March 2026, including some big changes to the library over the weekend, titled nurembergA post-World War II film with Russell Crowe, where we follow a psychiatrist who is trying to assist the Allies in convicting the remaining top officials of the Nazi regime. Must see.
As always, here are three new things we think you should check out this weekend:
What to watch on Netflix this weekend
unknown country (2022)
rating:TV-MA
Order: 85 minutes
Language: English
director:Morissa Maltz
Author: Lily Gladstone, Morrissa Maltz, Lainey Shangreux
mold: Lily Gladstone, Pam Richter, Tommy Heitkamp
Dealing with a devastating loss, Tana (Lily Gladstone) packs up her late grandmother’s Cadillac and sets out on a solo road trip through the Midwest to the Texas-Mexico border. Along the way, she reconnects with her estranged Oglala Lakota family and meets everyday people who share their real-life stories. Blending narrative fiction with documentary-style vignettes, this meditative and beautifully shot indie film offers a quiet, soulful exploration of grief, healing, and the vast American landscape. This is a must watch if you appreciate character-driven, poetic cinema.
war machine (2026)
age rating: R
Order: 106 minutes
Language: English
director:Patrick Hughes
Author: James Beaufort, Patrick Hughes
mold:Joshua Diaz, Richard Cota, Alan Ritchson
Alan Ritchson is now a major star, thanks to his role in reacher For Prime Video, but is he a movie star yet? It looks like the answer may increasingly be yes, and this new sci-fi action film that Netflix produced with Lionsgate hits screens globally today. The military film follows the final recruits of a grueling special ops boot camp who encounter a deadly force beyond this world.
In our review, we gave it a 2.5-star rating and concluded:
“Though giving its audience some lame vision of a not-so-distant future in which they’re welcome to roll their eyes, War Machine barely manages to surpass the low bar set by its Netflix Original sci-fi action film peers. Alan Ritchson is an undeniable star who shines most when given the chance to be a little more playful and funny when he’s at his worst in the world; something that makes him one-note in this Survival was never found in the film.”
The Green Knight (2021)
rating: R
Order: 130 minutes
Language: English
director:David Lowery
Author:David Lowery
mold: Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton
An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, The Green Knight It tells the story of Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s reckless and stubborn nephew, who sets out on a daring quest to confront the Green Knight of the same name. Visually stunning and wonderfully weird, this is a fantastic, atmospheric film that you’ll be in for a treat to watch if you’re looking for something a little offbeat this weekend.
