A while back, we shared the episode titles virgin river Season 7, but they were sitting alphabetically instead of in the order they were presented when Season 7 arrived in March. Now, the fog has settled over our favorite picturesque town, and we finally have the official episode sequence — along with their runtimes. Let’s see what Season 7 looks like and what this new information tells us about the drama ahead.
Totaling nearly 8 hours of content in total, season 7 maintains the standard 10-episode format we’ve come to expect. But with the episodes now in chronological order, our previous theories are getting a major timeline update.
Here’s the official episode order and runtime virgin river Season 7:
- Afterglow (48 minutes)
- beautiful child (48 minutes)
- match (48 minutes)
- pipe dreams (48 minutes)
- always anywhere, forever (48 minutes)
- no regrets (49 minutes)
- it takes a village (47 minutes)
- back in the saddle (52 minutes)
- la luna de mi (53 minutes)
- david and goliath (48 minutes)
Here’s our update on how Season 7 is shaping up based on the new order and runtime:

Episodes 1 and 2: Jumping Right In
We called it! In our previous analysis, Emma predicted that “The Afterglow” would serve as the season opener, and it is here. Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith previously confirmed that season 7 would pick up where the season 6 finale left off. That 48-minute premiere will undoubtedly deal with the emotional fallout of Jack moving into the twins’ bedroom.
interesting thing “Beautiful child” Jumps straight to episode 2. We previously speculated that it might focus on Lizzie and Denny’s baby. Placing it so early in the season suggests that the birth (or a major milestone in their pregnancy) won’t be held up for a final cliffhanger, but instead set the stage for their parenting journey throughout the rest of the season. This may naturally lead Mel and Jack to consider their family plans early.
Episodes 3 to 6: Mid-season turning point
The middle part of the season maintains a steady runtime of 48 to 49 minutes per episode, building up to the main conflicts. “match” (Episode 3) and “Pipe Dreams” (Episode 4) Suggests ambitions and a new spark. With Kelvin redrafted, it seems like the perfect time for the Brady/Calvin turf war to heat up.
episode 5, “Always Anywhere, Forever,” Sits exactly halfway. This vow-like title serves as a perfect midseason emotional anchor for Mel and Jack. go right behind it “No Regrets” (Episode 6, 49 minutes). If this is indeed the episode where Bree finally makes her definitive choice in the ongoing love triangle with Brady and Mike, then doing it right after the mid-season point gives the back half of the season a chance to explore the consequences of her decision, rather than dragging it out until the finale.
Episodes 7 to 9: Building to a Destination Climax
The runtime fluctuations in the back half of the season tell a great story in their own right. “It takes a village” At 47 minutes, it is the shortest episode of the season. This is quite possibly our heartwarming, fast-paced Community Show episode (which includes a recap of the rumored Civil War we’ve seen from set leaks).
Then, the episodes start getting longer. “back in the saddle” Jump to 52 minutes. This intensive runtime gives plenty of room for the Doctor to reprise his clinic role and introduce rodeo rider Clay (Cody Kearsley).
But the biggest reveal? “La Luna de mi” (The Honeymoon) is episode 9, and at 53 minutes, it is Longest episode of the season. This placement is absolutely perfect. Filming took the cast and crew to Tulum and Yucatan, Mexico, and Netflix is clearly giving this destination episode the cinematic breathing room it deserves. Expect a sweeping, romantic final episode for Mel and Jack.
Episode 10: The Finale Stand
the season is over “David and Goliath” Reverting to the standard 48-minute runtime. To hold this underdog title as a finale is incredibly impressive. While Episode 9 focuses on romance in Mexico, Episode 10 will likely draw us back to the harsh realities of the Virgin River. The doctor’s battle with the medical board and growing friction with Grace Valley will likely reach boiling point here. Don’t be surprised if this “David and Goliath” showdown leaves us with a huge cliffhanger to overcome until Season 8.
