Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece is gearing up for a monumental second season, charting a course straight for the Grand Line! As Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew sail into increasingly dangerous waters, the world of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga expands exponentially—and so does the show’s cast. Season 2 introduces a massive wave of fresh faces, with over 30 actors confirmed to step into the shoes of iconic heroes, terrifying villains, and quirky allies. From the secret agents of Baroque Works to the giant warriors of Little Garden, we’ve broken down every new cast member joining One Piece season 2, detailing their roles and exactly where you’ve seen them before!

For our full preview of One Piece season 2, head to the link provided. Until then, let’s dive into the new cast:

Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper

Fans were eagerly awaiting the announcement for the voice of Tony Tony Chopper, and on May 31st, 2025, at Netflix’s TUDUM event, it was revealed that Mikaela Hoover would be taking on the role. Hoover was the 33rd new cast member announced for the second season, and so far, a great match for the beloved reindeer-human hybrid doctor.

Hoover previously starred as Cat Grant in James Gunn’s reboot of Superman. She also starred in two other Gunn projects, including Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and The Suicide Squad.

Lera Abova as Ms. All Sunday, aka Nico Robin

While we won’t go into spoilers for the live-action watchers, let’s just say the casting of Mis All Sunday/Nico Robin was highly significant and important for the future of the One Piece story. Lera Abova already looks like perfect casting, and all the first-look images of her in action as Miss All Sunday support that notion.

Abova starred in Netflix’s action-thriller Exterritorial and, prior to that, in films such as Anna and Honey Don’t!. Her casting as Robin will definitely be seen as her breakout role.

Prior Credits: Exterritorial, Anna, Honey Don’t!.

Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday aka Vivi

Miss Wednesday is also a beloved character amongst One Piece fans, so it was important that her casting was spot on, and in our opinion, Charithra Chandran is perfect for the role. Not to mention, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda even had a say in her casting.

Charithra Chandran will be well-known to Bridgerton fans thanks to her role as Edwina Sharma in the second season. The actress has also starred in shows such as Dune: Prophecy and Alex Rider, as well as films like Fight or Flight and How to Date Billy Walsh.

Prior Credits: Bridgerton, Dune: Prophecy, Alex Rider, Fight or Flight, How to Date Billy Walsh.

Joe Manganiello as Mr. O, aka Crocodile

One Piece Season 2 Joe Manganiello CrocodileOne Piece Season 2 Joe Manganiello Crocodile

Mr. 0, aka Crocodile, is the leader of Baroque Works and one of the most iconic villains of the One Piece story. Joe Manganiello is an incredible bit of casting, and we’re sure he’s going to nail the role. While we won’t see much of him in the second season, expect to see plenty of him in season 3, where he will truly shine.

Manganiello is one of the most high-profile cast members of One Piece, and has starred in shows such as True Blood, Mythic Quest, How I Met Your Mother, and Big City Greens. He is also known for his roles in films such as Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, Magic Mike, Justice League, and Netflix’s Nonna’s. He is arguably most well-known for his influence on the Dungeons & Dragons community as a Dungeon Master for Hollywood celebrities and as a guest player on Critical Role.

David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3

David Dastmalchian As Mr. 3David Dastmalchian As Mr. 3

A devilishly delightful addition to the cast is David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3. If the actor brings the same energy from his roles as Polka-Dot Man in The Suicide Squad and Jack Delroy in Late Night with the Devil, then David will easily be one of the standout stars of One Piece season 2.

Prior Credits: The Suicide Squad, Late Night with the Devil.

Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine

Jazzara Jaslyn As Miss ValentineJazzara Jaslyn As Miss Valentine

Miss Valentine and her partner, Mr. 5, are one of the big threats facing the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece season 2. Based on looks alone, Jazzara Jaslyn looks fantastic as Miss Valentine and is another superb piece of casting.

The actress previously starred in five episodes of the HBO series Warrior, as Jane Swann in Professionals, and Miranda Hugo in Lioness.

Prior Credits: Warrior, Professionals, Lioness.

Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5

It’s tough not to keep complimenting the casting department, but we can’t help it! Camrus Johnson completely embodies the role of Mr. 5, and we can’t wait to see him in action alongside Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine.

Johnson had already starred in some high-profile Netflix projects, including the voice of Agloval in The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, Corporal Carson in The Electric State, and as Torre in two episodes of Luke Cage.

Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9

Daniel Lasker As Mr 9Daniel Lasker As Mr 9

While Mr. 9 doesn’t play a major role in the series, his friendship and time spent partnered with Miss Wednesday leave a lasting impact on her. Once again, the casting department isn’t playing around, and Daniel Lasker looks like he was born to play Mr. 9.

Lasker previously starred on television shows such as Raised by Wolves, Abraham Lincoln, Around the World in 80 Days, and America’s Monsters.

Prior Credits: Raised by Wolves, Abraham Lincoln, Around the World in 80 Days, America’s Monsters.

Russel will be a welcome addition to the cast and one of the first people that the Straw Hats will encounter upon entering the Grand Line!

Werner Coetser as Dorry

Werner Coetser As DorryWerner Coetser As Dorry

One half of a giant pair, Dorry is central to the Little Garden story, and like his best friend Brogy, is larger than life, and what you need is a larger-than-life personality to play it. Thanks to the first look images we have, Coetser already looks like he is embodying the role perfectly.

Doester is a South African actor and hasn’t starred in any productions outside of the country that anyone would be familiar with. That being said, the actor has starred in South African productions such as Diepe Waters and Getroud met Rugby.

Callum Kerr as Smoker

Callum Kerr As Smoker&Nbsp;Callum Kerr As Smoker&Nbsp;

We’ve already seen Luffy’s grandfather, Garp, chase his grandson around the East Blue. Well, in the second season, Luffy will once again find himself chased by the Marines, this time in the form of Smoker, played by Callum Kerr. Smoker is the very first Logia devil fruit user Luffy encounters, making him incredibly dangerous, and from the limited screen time weve seen of Kerr in action, he looks great donning the iconic white hair and two cigars.

Kerr will be familiar to British audiences thanks to his role as George Kiss in the soap opera Hollyoaks. He’s also starred as Everett in Netflix’s Virgin River and as Galad Damodred in Amazon’s The Wheel of Time.

Prior Credits: Hollyoaks, Virgin River, The Wheel of Time.

Julia Rehwald as Tashigi

Tashigi is a Master Chief Petty Officer and the right-hand woman of Captain Smoker. She has a strong sense of justice and will come to blows with Zoro thanks to her resemblance to Kuina, Zoro’s childhood friend.

Julia Rehwald will be familiar to Netflix subscribers who watched The Fear Street trilogy in 2021, where she played Kate.

Prior Credits: The Fear Street Trilogy.

Rob Colletti as Wapol

Rob Colletti As WapolRob Colletti As Wapol

Wapol is one of the goofiest-looking villains of One Piece. However, the costume and casting department have seemingly pulled off the impossible, ensuring Rob Colletti looks terrifyingly intimidating as the Drum Island tyrant. The One Piece casting department has hit home run after home run with its casting, and Colletti might just be a personal favorite.

Colletti is best known for his work on stage, not on screen, including Dewey in the stage adaptation of School of Rock, Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon, and Roger in the Grease revival.

Prior Credits: School of Rock (Stage), The Book of Mormon (Stage), Grease (Stage).

Ty Keogh as Dalton

Dalton is an ally of the Straw Hat Pirates in the upcoming second season and is the first Zoan Devil Fruit user seen in One Piece. Many fans were hoping for longtime One Piece fan Jamie Lee Curtis to take on the role of Dr. Kureha. However, Katey Sagal is also an excellent choice for the eccentric elderly doctor.

Katey Sagal starred as Peg Bundy in the beloved sitcom Married with Children alongside Al Bundy and has been the voice of cyclops Turanga Leela in Futurama since 1997. She also played Gemma Teller Morrow on Sons of Anarchy.

Her recent Netflix credits include Dead to Me and The Abandons.

Rob Van Vuuren As King SekiRob Van Vuuren As King Seki

King Seki doesn’t play a large role in the One Piece story, but his appearance in the second season of the live-action adaptation marks a significant change from the source material. The monarch of the Lulusia Kingdom, King Seki, wasn’t introduced until chapter 908 of the manga. How and why the live-action adaptation will introduce the character will intrigue many longtime fans.

Rob Van Veuren previously starred in an episode of Netflix’s ill-fated Resident Evil series. He has also starred in television shows such as Warrior, Devil’s Peak, Ludik, Abraham Lincoln, and The Kingdom. He is also the narrator for Takeshi’s Castle Thailand.
