Netflix has officially unveiled its 2026 Chinese-language slate, promising a shift toward “bold concepts and serious storytelling.” From the streaming debut of Hong Kong icon Akin Cheng to high-concept fantasy and the return of award-winning creators, here’s your guide to 10 new titles coming from the region.
Maya Huang, Netflix’s head of Chinese-language content, who previously worked as a writer and script consultant, said, “Chinese-language storytelling is unique in its vibrancy, emotional depth and willingness to explore complex, deep human truths.”
