Welcome to your weekly look at everything coming to Netflix in the United States over the next seven days. Netflix’s second wave of video podcasts arrives this week with the addition of one of the biggest series of 2026 to Netflix’s Originals slate and the debut of a new deal with Universal Pictures. Here’s everything coming to Netflix between January 26th and February 1st.

On the release front, as usual, there will be a lot of turnover in the first day of the month with a lot of films set to end. Elsewhere, today is your last chance to see the eccentric British film Wicked Little Letters before it goes off the air, and sadly you only have a few days left to watch it. Lazarus Project. The sci-fi series is definitely worth some last-minute entertainment if you can get into it.

As we enter the new month, you may want to get acquainted with all the new movie and series releases planned for February 2026. We’ve just updated our post again this morning with several new confirmed titles coming throughout the month.

What to watch on Netflix this week

Megane 2.0

added to netflix: monday

A new era of Universal films arriving on Netflix on the heels of its initial theatrical release and the short Peacock debut begins today with Megan 2.0, which will be joining soon jurassic world, darling don’t do itAnd how to Train Your Dragon.

It’s a strange movie to begin with, given that Megane 2.0 wasn’t divisive in itself, but was certainly a head-scratcher and even a head-spinner. Rewind a few years, and Blumhouse’s horror film became an instant success, and for the sequel, a lot changed, including the genre of the film. This new formula was not a big hit with audiences, and the film became one of the most notable box-office bombs of the year. Despite all this, I gave it a watch earlier this month in anticipation of its Netflix debut, and I have to say, I still enjoyed it, sue me!

ex machina (2014)

coming to netflix: sunday

We’re sticking to the robot theme for our second choice ex machinaWhich I not only enjoyed but still love to this day, and it’s gaining new relevance alongside Black Mirror as it slowly merges into our reality. Released 12 years ago, the film follows a company man who is invited to his boss’s retreat to test a project he is working on, a fully autonomous AI robot.

It’s exceptionally well acted, with knockout performances from Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson and Alicia Vikander, and it still looks incredible today.

bridgerton (Season 4 – Volume 1)

coming to netflix: Thursday

Netflix’s biggest series of January have undoubtedly been saved until the last week. Yes, it’s the return of Bridgerton, arguably Netflix’s third-biggest English-language series franchise, and it’s back for another two-parter with Volume 2 in the lineup in late February 2026.

Season 4, as you may know, moves on from the Pollyin era of Bridgerton and enters the Cinderella era, with two new leads at the forefront and the story focusing on Benedict and Sophie Beck.

The official logline for this season reads, “The fourth season of Bridgerton focuses on bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite both his older and younger brothers being happily married, Benedict is not ready to settle down – until he meets an attractive silver-haired woman at his mother’s masquerade ball.”
