running point It will return to Netflix in 2026, with a Spring 2026 release. In the meantime, we have the episode titles of all 10 season 2 episodes! Below, we’ll do our best to elaborate on what each episode’s title could mean for the story.
running point is a Netflix Original sports comedy series co-created by Mindy Kaling, Ellen Ko, David Stassen, and Ike Barinholtz. The series is co-directed by Michael Weaver, Thembi Banks, James Ponsoldt and David Stassen. When her brother is forced into rehab after a DUI charge, 30-year-old Isla Gordon is selected as the next president of her family’s business, the Los Angeles Waves basketball team franchise.
Just like the first season, running point Season 2 will also consist of ten episodes.
We don’t have an episode order, so we’ll discuss what each episode title might mean in alphabetical order.

Pizza? Season? device? It is hard to determine what “Chicago Style” means, but it could be a reference to a new coach’s strategy if Coach Jay left to take the job in Boston.
Perhaps a brand new player from Chicago is one of those sights, ready to make a stir in the Waves locker room.
AT TU, CAM?
Cam, Isla’s older brother and former president of the Waves, spent much of the first season in rehab, plotting his sister’s downfall behind her back. However, at the end of the first season, Cam unexpectedly returns from rehab. What his return means is unclear, but we can assume that either he hopes to regain his position as president of Waves, or he will continue his efforts to sabotage Isla and then take over if she is forced to resign.
It’s also possible that this episode could expose Cam’s betrayal and attempt to destroy Isla. The phrase “Et tu, came” refers to Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar, in which, during the assassination scene, he utters the Latin phrase “Et tu, Brutus” (or “You too, Brutus?”) in shock upon seeing his close friend Marcus Brutus among the murderers in the court.
Gordon vs. McShays
The McShays may be longtime rivals of the Gordons as another family that owns a rival basketball franchise or business. If there is animosity between the two families, and the Gordons are going through hard times, the McShays may try to take advantage of the chaos by capturing star player Marcus.
It could also be a “West Coast vs. East Coast” rivalry, and perhaps with McShays in charge of the team that obviously means the Boston Celtics.
Could romance be in the air? Tied into the clichéd tale of Romeo and Juliet, where two members of rival families are secretly romantically involved with each other.
MVP: Marcus is very angry
As the Waves’ best player in the franchise, it’s important that Gordon keeps him happy. He has been the longest serving player in the team, and
Marcus Winfield is the Waves’ best player, so keeping him happy is important. Given the false rumor that Isla would trade Marcus, the upcoming battle for control of the waves between Isla and Cam could have a deep impact on the team, especially Marcus.
Not to mention, Travis Bugg is returning from rehab, if he can nail his act, he could replace Marcus as the team’s star player. If a new coach comes in and puts Marcus on Bug’s side, this may also lead to Marcus’s dissatisfaction.

The headline reveals that Coach J has taken the Boston job and left waivers. Isla will now face the difficult challenge of appointing a new coach for the Waves, and it will be important that whoever he appoints has a good rapport not only with the players, but also with him and his family.
If the wrong coach is hired, it could be disastrous for the Waves’ season.
rehearsal dinner
This title could happen at the end of the season, especially if it means Isla is back with Lev. At the very least, it suggests that another character is going to get married at some point this season.
Hunter
Possibly referring to “poaching”, a term used in basketball and other sports for the unethical act of trying to influence and sign players who are already registered with a team. Often, players who are being “poached” are promised higher salaries, bonuses, and the chance to play for a bigger team. This can often destabilize a team, especially if one of your best players suddenly performs half-heartedly out of fear that an injury could jeopardize their big-money move.
What does this mean for waves? Uche Agada was recruited from the D-League and will only be in his sophomore year with the team. It has already been mentioned that Agada is not paid as much as his teammates, so if another team comes along and offers him big money, the promise of money and security may be enough to turn his head.

we’re probably gonna see a lockout running point. A lockout occurs when a dispute arises between the league owners and the Players Association. When a lockout occurs, all league operations cease. This means all matches are cancelled, players are unable to train using team facilities, players cannot see trainers or speak to coaches, and all players will stop receiving salaries.
The longest lockout in NBA history occurred during the 1998–1991 season, lasting six months. As a result, the season was shortened to 50 regular games, and that year’s All-Star Game was canceled. The shortest lockout occurred in 1996, lasting only a few hours.
triangle of evil
This may be related to the superstitious belief that any bad event, bad luck or misfortune comes in threes. What might this “triangle” include? Between Cam’s return, Marcus’ unhappiness, and possibly a new (and poorly performing) coach, this could account for most of the Waves’ issues in Season 3.
we are broken
Waves may be in some financial trouble in Season 2. But how is “broken” broken? It seems they will have limited time to find new sponsors or investors to secure the future of the franchise. It is possible that Cam’s past business decisions are now coming back to haunt the team, resulting in a devastating impact on the team’s finances.
This could force Isla to seek new sponsorship, or especially, new investors, which could mean the family would have to give up or outright sell some of their stake in the franchise.
