It’s time for another TV roundup of what’s leaving Netflix, and some of the heavy hitters leaving the service at the end of January and February. Shows borrowed from networks like NBC, Fox, and HBO are all up for renewal. As licensing deals reach their expiration dates, we are seeing a significant wave of evictions this January and February.
Note that all of these removals are planned departures from Netflix US – other regions will vary. For a full list of US departures for February 2026, keep it locked to What’s on Netflix here.
Please note: All removals from Netflix are subject to change due to licensing agreements. Netflix may extend the license or remove a title before it is listed. Removal dates may also vary by region.
Departure on 28 January.
Lazarus Project

This UK science-fantasy thriller follows George, an app developer who discovers that he is living the same six months over and over again, ultimately leading him to a secret organization that turns back time to save the world from extinction. Starring Papa Essiedu (I May Destroy You) and Anjali Mohindra, the series received critical acclaim for its fresh take on the time-loop genre. It originally aired on Sky Max in the UK and TNT in the US before appearing briefly after joining Netflix in July last year.
Departure on 29 January.
prison escape
A huge hit during its original run on Fox, this serial drama tells the story of Michael Scofield, a structural engineer who deliberately gets himself imprisoned in Fox River State Penitentiary to escape his brother Lincoln Burroughs, who is on death row for a crime he did not commit. The series stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell playing the brothers at the center of the plot. The show, which originally aired from 2005 to 2017, enjoyed a massive resurgence in popularity on Netflix, but has now waned after a long period of hiatus.
It is the latest Disney departure from a series of titles from ABC, Fox and FX that comes as part of a deal through 2024, which will see each show remain on Netflix for 18 months.
Departure on 5 February.
alone (australia)
The Australian spin-off of the popular American survival competition series drops contestants into the rugged Tasmanian wilderness – completely isolated from each other and the outside world. With only ten survival items and their own camera gear, they must brave the harsh elements and isolation for a chance to win $250,000. Originally airing on SBS in Australia, this version brings a unique set of environmental challenges compared to its North American counterpart.
Luckily, if you’re a fan of this format, the US version of the show is coming to Netflix US in February 2026.
Departure on 5 February.
love life

This romantic anthology series, which originally served as the launch title for the HBO Max platform, explores the journey from first love to last love, with each season focusing on a different protagonist’s search for a partner. The first season stars Anna Kendrick, while the second season focuses on William Jackson Harper (nice place). Despite being a Max original, the show got a second life on Netflix after being removed from its home platform, but its licensing window has now closed.
License, like many on this list, had a particularly short window, having now only streamed for 6 months since its arrival in August.
Departure on 13 February.
Nadia’s ‘Time to Eat’ and ‘Bake’
Among the departures from Netflix Originals that we’ve already covered in 2026, there are two series with Nadia, one of the contestants from the last season of The Great British Bake-Off (the baking show for Americans). After winning over the judges in the tent, she became a presenter for the BBC on a number of shows, including these two titles which would both go away on the same day, several years after being added to the streamer.
- Nadia’s Time to Eat (7 episodes) – “In this cooking show, Nadia Hussain serves up delicious shortcuts, key ingredients and fast favorites – perfect for today’s time-crunched families.”
- Nadia Bakes (8 episodes) – “As Nadia Hussain returns to baking, her happy place, and shining a light on creative kind souls, delicious cakes and heavenly breads emerge from the oven.”
Departure on 15th February.

Set 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap Accelerator and disappeared, this 2022 revival follows a new team assembled to restart the project in hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. Raymond Lee stars as Dr. Ben Song, a new physicist who finds himself jumping through time. The series originally aired on NBC for two seasons before being canceled and later licensed to Netflix.
Here’s another very short window to watch on Netflix, considering the show was only added in August.
Departure on 17th February.
Warrior
Based on the writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, this gritty crime drama is set during the Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. Andrew Koji plays Ah Sahm, a martial arts genius who comes from China and becomes a notorious figurehead for one of Chinatown’s most powerful crime families. The series has had a complicated journey, originally airing on Cinemax for two seasons before airing a third season on Max, and finally finding a wider audience on Netflix.
There was some hope that Netflix could save the show, although one star confirmed that any hopes of a Netflix season 4 revival were ultimately dashed last year.
Departure on 19 February.

This sci-fi mystery drama stars Halle Berry as Molly Woods, an astronaut who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and discovers she is inexplicably pregnant. As she struggles to reconnect with her family, her experiences in space lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history. Created by Steven Spielberg, the series ran for two seasons on CBS and features a supporting cast that includes Goran Visnjic and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Once again, just six months later, another series is coming, this series has already arrived on Netflix in August.
Departure on 26 February.
brooklyn nine-nine
This beloved workplace sitcom follows the exploits of the detectives of the NYPD’s 99th Precinct, led by the immature but talented Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoic Captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). Known for its ensemble cast and cold start, the series originally aired on Fox before being saved by NBC for its final season.
Netflix has had the streaming rights in various territories for years, but the license to this beloved comedy is expiring in the US first, which is especially sad because with the shuffle in January last year, the US only had access to four seasons until recently.
