2 Broke Girls comes to Netflix

Netflix continues to race to land a massive license from Warner Bros. Discovery. We learned that the hit sitcom 2 Broke Girls This is the next major comedy that has now arrived on Netflix in several international territories including the United Kingdom and Australia.

The move comes after a year of heavy collaboration between Netflix and Warner Bros., which has already seen shows like young sheldon, FriendAnd big bang theory Perform exceptionally well on stage. Now, the streamer has picked up non-exclusive rights to the Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs comedy, but as we mentioned above, only in select regions.

We’re told Netflix has secured the license for one year, which means it will expire in January 2027. Of course, in the long term, given the Warner Bros. acquisition, the series could become a permanent part of Netflix’s library.

Although we’re still waiting for the full list, we have confirmed that the shows have been added to libraries:

Airing on CBS from 2011 to 2017, the multi-camera comedy was created by Michael Patrick King (sex and the City) and Whitney Cummings. It tells the story of an unlikely friendship between two waitresses working at a greasy spoon eatery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Max Black (kat dennings) is street-smart, eccentric and poor since birth. Caroline Channing (beth behrs) is a former high-society trust fund princess who lost everything when her father was arrested for a massive Ponzi scheme. Despite their differences, the two become roommates and partners, saving their tips in hopes of starting their own cupcake business.

“Street-smart Max and rich girl-turned-waitress Caroline strike up an unlikely friendship. Working together at a Brooklyn diner, they try to save $250,000 to start their own cupcake business, but getting there won’t be easy.”

Along with the dynamic duo of Dennings and Behrs, the show features a memorable supporting cast of regular diners:
