March is finally here, and with it comes a much-needed breath of fresh air for Netflix’s movie library. After a somewhat sluggish start to the year, the streaming giant is kicking things off with a stellar lineup of heavy-hitting original features and an incredibly strong roster of licensed titles. Whether you’re in the mood to watch explosive sci-fi action, gripping historical drama, or an award-winning international thriller, this month’s extra programs guarantee you won’t be scrolling aimlessly looking for anything to watch.
As always, we’re going to split this article into two sections: First, we’ll cover the most anticipated and biggest new Netflix Original movies. In these instances, I haven’t personally seen them yet, so I’m basing the recommendation solely on what I’ve seen/heard so far. Then we’ll move on to licensed titles.

Most Anticipated Netflix Original Movies for March 2026
war machine (2026)
coming to netflix: 6 March
Since mid-January, Netflix’s movie slate, as expected at this time of year, has been incredibly light. joe college road trip This was actually the only English-language movie of the entire month of February, and we suspect even that wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Thankfully, March is a bit strong in the new film department, albeit not at quite the standards you’d expect for the latter half of the year.
war machine There’s no doubt that this is the biggest film to come from the Origins library, and for most, its lead star is Alan Ritchson, who has gained fame thanks to leading roles in titles like Reacher, leading this sci-fi action film. The synopsis reads, “The final recruits to the Army Ranger Selection Course face a deadly force from another world.”
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2026)

Can you believe it’s been four years since the BBC/Netflix series Peaky Blinders came to its surprise conclusion? Well, that’s happened, but thankfully there’s a lot more to come from the world and Steven Knight, starting with a movie in late March, which is around the same time the first of two new seasons begins production. With many of the favorite cast members and some new faces in the mix, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is set during World War II, based on Tommy Shelby, who is brought back from self-imposed exile to face his most devastating ordeal yet.
Do you need to watch the main series before going here? Yes, to be honest. While you might be able to avoid watching it fresh, honestly it’s important to know the backstory, and the good news is you still have a few weeks to watch all the seasons before it’s over.
The best licensed movies coming to Netflix in March 2026
Nuremberg (2025)

Kicking our licensed referrals nurembergGripping historical drama that dives deep into the post-World War II trials of Nazi officials. Starring a powerful cast including Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, and Michael Shannon, the film offers a tense, carefully crafted look at one of the most pivotal moments in 20th century history. If you’re a history buff or just appreciate top-tier, dialogue-driven acting, this compelling courtroom drama is a must-see.
nobody 2 (2025)
coming to netflix: 7 March
Bob Odenkirk is back, and he’s bringing pain. After the massive success of the 2021 action thriller, nobody 2 delivers exactly what fans were striving for: more visceral, bone-crunching, john wick-Style action. Hutch Mansell’s seemingly tranquil life is once again violently turned upside down, pulling him back into the deadly underworld he tried so hard to leave behind. With spectacular choreography and Odenkirk’s undeniable everyman charm, this high-octane sequel is the perfect weekend adrenaline rush.
manufacturer (2023)
coming to netflix: 20 March
Netflix’s main slate for the month does not include the latest film from 20th Century Studios, which continues to license one or two films to Netflix worldwide each month. Next month’s release is an absolute sci-fi treat manufacturer Almost three years after it was released in theaters.
Starring John David Washington, Gareth Edwards’ world is set approximately 25 years in the future, in which humanity has agreed to get rid of artificial intelligence for the sake of, well, the Western world anyway. This split creates a division and war in which an agent is sent to assassinate the new AI found on the ground.
Despite a thorough visual treatment, I had difficulty remembering the actual plot of the film beyond saving a young boy, which probably says something about the story, but still, it’s definitely worth a watch or rewatch.
blackberry (2023)
coming to netflix: 15 March
There are a few tech biopics coming out in March, with Jobs set to return, which will document the life of Apple founder Steve Jobs alongside Ashton Kutcher, but since it’s been streamed on the service before, we won’t be giving it another recommendation here. Instead, we’re turning to director Matt Johnson’s 2023 film Blackberry, the story of which is adapted from Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind the Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of Blackberry by Jackie McNish and Sean Silkoff.
Chances are many of you may not be familiar with BlackBerry devices, but for a time, they were the hottest item. This biopic comedy-drama attempts to recap how that mobile device with a full keyboard came to be, with an eccentric cast of characters behind it. With sharp dialogue and wit for days, this is an incredibly entertaining watch, especially if you’re a fan of the genre.
Netflix is just going to bring the movie here, not the extended mini-series that came on AMC.
Anatomy of a Fall (2023)
coming to netflix: 23 March
If you missed this Oscar-winning masterpiece during its theatrical release, now is the perfect time to watch it. anatomy of fall is a brilliantly crafted, razor-edge French courtroom thriller that revolves around a woman (played by Sandra Hüller) who is accused of murdering her husband after he takes a fatal fall in their secluded snowy bungalow. It’s a masterful dissection of a marriage that blurs the lines of truth and perception, and the brilliant screenplay will keep you guessing until the last frame.
Hotel Mumbai (2018)
coming to netflix: 2 March
For Dev Patel fans, you’re getting two of the best movies from his back catalog on Netflix US this month. Not only are you getting the 2021 A24 film The Green Knight, co-starring with Alicia Vikander, but you’re also getting intense and harrowing Hotel Mumbai. Based on the horrific true events of the 2008 Taj Mahal Palace Hotel terrorist attacks in India, the film is a masterclass in tension. Patel plays a brave hotel employee who risks everything to keep his guests safe amid the chaos. It’s a difficult, emotionally draining watch, but a very touching tribute to human resilience.
A Man Called Ove (2015)

Before Tom Hanks brought the character to American audiences a man named ottoThe Oscar-nominated Swedish native was, a man called ove. Based on the beloved novel, this dark comedy-drama tells the story of an angry, tough, and isolated retiree whose perfectly ordered world is turned upside down when an enthusiastic young family moves in next door. It’s a beautifully poignant, laugh-out-loud, and ultimately heartwarming story about grief, unexpected community, and finding a new path in life. Have your tissues ready.
